Blowhards like O'Donnell do have a voice that is louder than most worthy thinkers in this country. If the populus elects to do the "ostrich" thing in matters of import and spend their precious gray cells on O'Donnell, Paris, Lyndsay and Britney, THAT, as pathetic as might be, IS newsworthy.

My Dear Barns...the simple fact that you opted to respond in any matter to my initial post suggests you are as guilty as the rest of the drooling masses with regard to your need to acknowledge and thereby glorify any individual who may stumble into the public eye and opt to employ the media to air his or her personal laundry. If we simply choose not to recognize or discuss them or their actions, they will all ultimately dry up and blow away. I choose the higher ground and refuse to discuss the actions or happenings of any such individual any further. My time is far too valuable and my life is far to precious to focus on such mundane drivel!!! Nuff' said????

The problem, my dear contrarian, is that Britney's underwear (lack of it), Lindsay's latest innebriated doings and Paris' absolutely nothings, get more press than all the ails in the world in the aggregate! You are wrong, yee brilliant one, about ANY OF THIS FADING OUT OF THE PUBLIC CONSCIOUSNESS if ignored. More likely, they will remain a persistent rash on the intellect. So ... rather then your own contrived profferance (whoa ... Barns is making up words again ...) that you don't give a rat's behind about any of that (are you a closet Entertainment Tonight and Enquirer reader???), how about wasting some of your precious time on telling the rest of us intellectually starved souls WHY THE FASCINATION FOR THE MILLIONS "out there?" With nothing better to do, I posted a response last evening. Apparently Barns (or whoever) was asleep at the switch and never acknowledged the dialogue. Instead, the manipulator of this so-called site managed to assign himself (or herself...or itself...or ???) a second score. How utterly self-serving, don't you think. To restate my comment of almost 24 hours ago, this exercise is becoming tiresome...I doc most definitely care the least...and therefore, I WIN !!!!!!!!
