God, Allah, Buddha, Jehovah ... The list is long. It depends on the believer as to what name is used. Same goes for which book is used. The bible has a vast number of versions (too many to list here). It seems each religion has it's own version of events. For a Deity that is supposed to be loving and benevolent, God is responsible for more human suffering and death in the history of man than anything else!!!
Each religion will tell you they are the ONE and that all others are False and their God is a false God and some go to war to prove it. And yet no one can give us positive proof that their God actually exists! "It's a matter of faith" is the standard answer! Faith in what I ask you?
It all sound like nonsense to me!! I have more faith in the existence of aliens and little green buggers than in an all powerful entity.
It All Started With...
The definiton of Faith is to believe without reason or proof. Therefore anything I say to help you believe is Bull because I have no proof for you logical mind that needs data. God does not start wars... man does. Show me any war that ever existed that was due to different beliefs and I'll show you a hidden agenda. It's easier to rally people behind hate and "for God" then say Oil.

True "God " does not start wars ,Man does that in the name of God ,And as far as I can figure the was no need for oil back in the time of the "Crusades" History is full of wars fought in the name of various gods and religions .Faith is a wonderful thing ,if it's put in the right place ,It also needs a bit of re-assurance now and again ,and I've not seen that And I doubt any one else has either !!

You would have me believe in an all powerful Spiritual being "GOD" Without proof of existance and devote my life to that belief , But in the same breath rubbish my belief in Alien Life even though the is documented proof and physical evidence they exist ??

The first crusade was the response to a request for aid from Emperor Alexus to the pope to help with invaiding turks. The pope said hey while we are at it lets take Jerusalem. One of the richest hauls the Catholic Church ever received. After that all crusades were expansionary efforts "In the name of God" Cause god loves gold and land. My Favoite being the eighth and King Louis becomes a Saint for his war.
You want faith? But Faith in what? Mankind - HA! we'll screw your dog if it will get us "ahead". Faith in Science? Science proves things its an oxymoron. Faith in God? Ever see a kids eyes light up for no reason except you walked in the door? Its not proof but its good enough for me. I may nor believe in organized religion but I do see god.

Skippy??? No bloody kangaroos here ,Our sheep shaggin' cousins in Aussie have them !! Geography lesson over. Yes I see my kids lite up as I come home ,I also get the same reaction from my dog , and wife , nothing to do with "God" It's called " Love" .As to the Catholic Church ,The biggest , most powerful religious organisation on this planet ,And if Dan Brown and Mr Homer are to be believed ,It's all a con !!! There must be some truth in what these men say otherwise WHY would the Vatican spend so much effort to stop them ...

...Another interesting point has just cropped up ,A while ago a guy murdered his wife and was duly busted ,at court he said "the devil made me do it"He was labeled a" Nut Job" and convicted of first degree murder .Now if you believe in God , Ergo you also believe in the Devil ,And if God can influence people to do extraordinary feets ,why is it that nobody believed this guy?? If christians want to use god as for things unexslainable, then please so me consistency ...

While I agree with most of Mr Carol's Theories I think he is a little on the harsh side .I have no problem with a person's beliefs as long as they are not trying to ram them down my throat. (ie Mormans ,Baptists and lutherens )

As to your original post , It's not only the people who start The wars with hidden agendas , It's also the heads of the different religions ,The Vatican , The Mormons and The Church of England as well as other religions have all, in various ways, tried to manipulate Governments of the world .Through research I have ( like many others) discovered most of the religious organizations have a hidden past they don't want known to any body. And You would have me believe them ?

First off Zoo lesson. As far as i know Kangaroo's hop. They don's skip. Lost in translation moment Skippy = Buddy. The only pet names i know for New Zelandars involves a fruit and I hear they don't like being called that. From what i am reading you want proof that god exists. Can't do that. I can scientificlally prove that your spirit can't die if you believe in a spirit :). More on that later. I personally don't believe in organized religion anymore. I believe in the idea of Religion as a way to renew faith in something more powerful than us. But Religion was created by man and man is failable (sp?). Man created the idea of God.. the idea of the Devil. I see holy texts as moral guidelines. But they are not infailable because man wrote them!!

Look at any other race on Earth and they are governed by instinct. The human race still has instict but they also have reason. We are the only animal that can deny are instincts due to reason. Some us just don't choose to do so. Now did we create god due to reason or instinct? That I pose to you. There are so many differnt versions of Gods from many different cultures, places, and time. Why? An inborn instinct that all people have that there is something more? After that we try to wrap out intellect around the unknowable and create religions. Or maybe the idea of God was created to keep us in line with fear so we don't murder, plunder, and rape each other and we can grow as a race.

Here Grizz is my scientific proof that some part of you will live on after your body ceases to work. It comes down to the Law of the Conservation of Energy.. Which basically states you can niether create nor destroy energy. Now you may disagree but I believe that our spirit/soul is an energy. Without it why would i get out of bed. Believe me some days its tough! So if its an energy spark that keep us moving where would it go after our body stops functioning due to damage. To a heavenly body... the maggots who eat us? Don't know. But my lifeforce can't be destroyed. It can change to soemthing else but it will exist.
Another point is if we cannot create or destroy energy... where did it all start? Who pushed the first domino for life? Maybe an idea called god?

After sifting through a mountain of research I've come to the conclusion the a good number of our fellow humans act like sheep and fellow the leader,Which is interesting because most church leaders refer to their congregations as "the flock" .Now I have no problem if you or any body else feel the need to have an imaginary friend , As far as soul/spirits go that is also open to personal belief .My problem starts with the fact that Christianity in all it's form ,Catholic,Baptist C.o.E etc etc are based on a few INCOMPLETE scroll written in ancient Hebrew that are badly translated but are never the less used as the foundation for their particular faith!! And some of these "faiths" use the fact that most of man kind will be a flock and follow blindly ,,,,,

...And follow they do! The bit that really grinds my cogs is that it's not only the common man that fronts up on Saturdays/Sundays ,It's the fact that Govts ,Schools and Military all have references to 'god' in their daily routine ,A good number of these include these references in their seals/coat of arms.The U.S like many countries (Mine also) include 'god' in their national anthems .As to the "energy " that you along with the rest of Christianity call 'the soul' it;s electricity " the spark of life" neurons and electrons doing their thing , just like in your computer,light bulb , TV etc etc and while you may not be able to destroy it , It WILL dissipate and cease to exist...

Now while I will be labeled a heretic, blasphemer or worse an anti-christ for wanting proof of existence of 'god' I can not have blind faith in something when there is hard evidence to the contrary .I find it interesting that on any other subject people want proof ,hard facts,Tangible evidence ,in fact they demand it and yet when it comes to 'god' they will devote the lives to their faith without a shred of proof he/it exists .Talk about double standards!!!

At thought has just accured to me ,As parents we admonish children for having imaginary friends ,some parents even put their kids in therapy in an effort to rid said child of his/her invisible confidant .but then they go off to their church and talk ,pray and sing to their own imaginary friend " God" ....
