MUST BE: ALL PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES TALK ABOUT ENDING IT !! SO, HOW COME THERE IS PRECIOUS LITTLE IN THE MAJOR NEWS MEDIA ABOUT THE WAR IN IRAQ, AND IF POSSIBLE, EVEN LESS ABOUT THE WAR IN AFGHANISTAN !
Britney Spears has gotten much more press in the past two weeks than the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan !
Amazing that IOWA caucuses, New Hampshire primaries and THAT PATHETIC SPEARS caricature can suck all the oxygen out of major media news reports.
How about this for more embarrassment: ANYBODY REPORTING ON THE RE-IGNITION OF WAR IN THE CONGO between yet another Tutsi renegade general and the government, a war that has now set nearly 1 million Hutus on the run ?
YES: they are likely headed to Rwanda. Another incomprehensible MASSACRE is likely, same as that of 1 MILLION DIRT POOR PEOPLE, MOSTLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN 2003!
Nah. Not worth reporting. After all, Dr. Phil visited Britney at Cedars. Although he was thrown out, life as we know it in the U.S. is worth living again !!!
It All Started With...
My wife is Greek. Over Christmas two years ago, my brother in law's father was talking to me about the news about the war out of Greece and the number of Iraqi casualties being reported internationally was quite different than the number that Bush mentioned. I don't think this is a conspiracy on the part of the press, I think it's the general trend towards discounting or ignoring critical thought in this country.

And we are surprised by this because... Would you admit to wiping out noncom's . But it's one of the facts of life " You go to war and it's not only the combatants the suffer" occasionally a few innocents get in the way of live munitions and they DIE!

We lied our way into that war. We are killing innocent people for no good reason. If you can produce a good reason why we went in there that doesn't include the lies (and they are documented lies, not doubt about it) that Bush presented, I'd be glad to hear it. We're not talking about fighting Hitler and the Fascists in WWII here, we're talking about attacking a country who did not have WMD's or a Terrorism Problem and had been extremely weakened by their war with Iran and the first Gulf War. Now they have a big time problem with Terrorism. If we're going to sack a country, we should have the guts to report all of the pertinent casualty info. It's not pretty to hear, but it is important. We're the only country who doesn't seem to care.
