You are my hero.
Barns has been doing some BIG TIME TOMATO PROTEST EATING!
And, of course, the hysteria is abating.
I just wonder how many of us, likely 6,000,000 ( six million) have been pondering HOW TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS "CRISIS": WHO CAN WE SUE FOR SOMETHING. ANYTHING.
That is sad but true. Likely 2% of the population ALWAYS LOOKS FOR AN AGLE TO MAKE SOME MONEY.
Likely 6,000,000 of us (six million), hope and pray for a cup of coffee that is REALLY, REALLY hot, so we can dump that in our own laps.
And get enough money to fuel up our gasoline tanks for a week or two.

That and several others need to go. In fact, at least 50% of the federal budget needs to be cut out. They are bankrupting this country along with big business raping the consumer.

Amen, brother!
How about bugging the offices of the Dept. Of Agriculture? Do you know that there is at least 1 Dept. Of Ag. employee per every farmer the department oversees?
The most famous cartoon on the subject, shows a high ranking Dept. Of Ag. official packing up his personal belongings in his office, having been fired. When asked why he was fired, he laments: "My farmer died."
Your tax dollars at work!!
I vote for "bugging" that department right out of existence.

Yeah. A world with out tomatoes really bites. ...which inevitably means I will pay an arm and a leg to get the upcoming "good ones" the same way I pay for gas these days. Arg.

NOTE THE TIME STAMP ON THIS POST!
It is now 4 HOURS and 32 MINUTES since Barns had a delicious chopped tomato, onions and basil salad at lunch.
Still alive and argumentative ... as he was before lunch.
All is well on Western Front.

I love tomatoes too. And, I will be cautious about the type of tomatoes I eat for a little while. The media says the following tomatoes are fine: cherry, grape and vine tomatoes. So, to all those people that love tomatoes - all is not lost!

My question is and hasn't really been answered by media is the salmonella inside the tomatos or on the skin. Seems up to now for vegetables it has not been part of the plant inself. But due to lack of proper cleaning. Second this was reported as an "unusual" type of salmonella occurring in vegetables. Again WHY unusual. Thank the anti-inspection politicians for this one and perhaps the globalization.
