1. Has really good speech writers. And...
1a. He knows how to deliver a really well written speech.
2. Bright and charismatic man.
2a. Cool wife; an asset.
3. Most liberal member of the U.S. Senate: 65 of 66 votes.
3a. He is sooooo sooooo new at all this, it is hard to hold such glaring, imature imbalance against him.
4. The WORLD is entirely new to him. Just a few weeks ago, he did not know where Pakistan is on the map.
4a. If elected, he will to be the MOST INEXPERIENCED FOREIGN HEAD OF STATE IN THE WORLD.
5. Still has student loans outstanding.
5a. No worries. With big salary raise as President, he will pay those off with less stress.
6. Has not uttered any specifics about his CATATONIC MANTRA ABOUT CHANGE.
6a. Where is the beef, Senator?
Now that he knows where Pakistan is, what does he propose to do about the BIGGEST THREAT TO THE U.S. IN THE WORLD, emanating from Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Pakistan?
SOMEBODY TELL US: WHAT IS AN "OBAMA". And ... what happens if/when he gets elected?
SOMEBODY TELL US: DO WE HAVE A BETTER OPTION?
TIME FOR CLINTON (HILLARY) TO GET REAL!! FOR THE TIME BEING, ALL THAT WE HEAR AND SEE FROM HER (THERE IS A LOT) SEEN - DOES NOT APPEAR TO RESONATE WITH ENOUGH VOTERS. Is she history in two weeks?

Many people ages 21-35 are swept away by Obama. He is after all very charismatic. However, part of me sides with Barns in that getting carried away with charisma and ignoring actual substance can lead to trouble. Remember though, this country elected no charisma OR substance TWICE!! At least it's good to have one in a president's arsenal.

I would appreciate you giving us the proper quote then, just in case I and hundreds of thousands watching her on TV lost our hearing, and just in case the news agencies who reported that very awful statement. You should think about that in context that this woman is a likely first lady. I hope that when she becomes first lady, she will find other things about the U.S. to be proud of.

He is such a breath of fresh air. I am afraid that will not do the job. The world is very complex and dangerous place. I cannot envision Obama being able to stare down Putin, the Islamists, North Korea and so on. We may all find out if I am right soon enough, though.

Obama belongs in the Senate for at least 2 more terms. He should serve on a couple of meaningful committees (intelligence and foreign affairs come to mind). Once he has some meat on his bones, not just personality and oratory skills, he should run for the office again. He is 8 - 12 years too early.

Oh yes! Italian politics are a true model on governance. If memory serves, Italy has its 60th government since World War II ...
Barns is particularly fond of the Italian people! He lived in Italy sometime ago and has traveled there often over the years.
It is wonderful to see the emotion the Italians pour into the political process. The heat of those emotions is only matched by the shifting of those emotions to .... worthwhile pursuits such as love and food and music.
Now: if we could just get Obama, Clinton (Hillary) and McCain to sing and dance!
