YOU PICK THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. !!
YOU CAN PICK ANYBODY EXCEPT:
McCain, Clinton and Obama!
If you had your choice, who would be the next President of the U.S. and why?
Please .... Don't pick yourself, your dog or Mickey Mouse. Make your pick an intelligent choice.
What Say You?

on 04/01 at 06:42PM PTThis is in response to many of you who asked who Barns' choice is/would be, and complained that you did not get a response....
The "ideal" candidate would be REALLY UNREALISTIC to expect. It would have to be molded from many worthy candidates. And Barns is not available. A Presidential campaign would interfere with his many other pursuits, all worthwhile to be sure. OK. OK. Just messing with you all...Now ...
Would you REALLY like Barns to tell you who his ideal candidate is?
No. You would not. Think of all the fun you would miss out on. And all the great reading you would give up!
If Barns would give you his choice, YOU WOULD ALL RUSH OUT AND START A WRITE-IN CAMPAIGN.
And OUR candidate would be elected by a massive landslide.
And the whole U.S. political paradigm would change forever....
Hmmmm ... Not such a bad idea ....

on 04/05 at 08:42AM PTNot bad, Pilgrim. Not bad.
Baiting me with that.... Not bad.
You have to get up really early in the morning, and often, and eat a lot of spinach before you can bait Barns into that.
Now. Since you pressured me so, let me reveal to you Barns' choice:
Sorry. Back to you on this. Have to go take my ballet lesson...
Now. There is a sight worth staging. Here comes a revelation about Barns: EVERYTHING IS 6'2", 240 LBS.

Here's a good one for you and will certainly get a rise out of you Barns. Brad Pitt for Pres; Angelina for VP. They are certainly doing their share of humanatarian deeds. And, quietly so. Not too much fanfare surrounding them - at least not any that they create. Wow - this would be a first a nice looking couple who really care about the future of our kids!

on 03/28 at 01:01PM PTHmmm.... Barns has to think about your LIKELY CAREFULLY CHOSEN WORDS re. getting a "rise" out of this.
May Barns assume that your choice of words was NOT intended to raise Barns' prurient interest?

I am sticking with Bill Richardson, even though he recently endorsed Barack O. Bill has the Cabinet experience, the UN experience, the southwest governor experience, the diplomacy credibility, even a sensible immigration policy...what else could you ask for? No, he isn't going to walk on water, but given the proper funding, a personal trainer and someone to buy his suits, he could make a great POTUS.

No matter now. He has put in his application for the Obama V.P. spot.

Mitt Romney: Epitimizes an American President. Smart, problem-solver, successful businessman, won governership of a "blue" state and shown ability to be tough and work with the opposition. More of a moderate than he has tried to portray which would draw centrists and independents. Too bad Gov. Crist of Fla. didn't endorse him.

on 03/27 at 09:14AM PTOh boy. How does Barns straddle THIS NASTY FENCE?
You are entirely right with your analysis.
The BIG FLY IN THE SOUP: Romney's stand on Pro-Choice is a non-starter.
Rather not have ROMNEY or anybody tell the women in YOUR life and Barns' life tell them what THEY MUST DO WITH THEIR BODIES.

While I am sure Barns won't like as it seems no one meets his ideal candidate, will say Michael Bloomberg.

I know Barns and he's not eligible to be President of the USA. Although it is a provacative thought...he could have been the reincarnation of "the great communicator!"

Bono for president! And it’s not the first time I have mentioned that on Ctoads… Arguably, he has a voice in the world that is more powerful than our candidates. He has surely met with more international politicians than our candidates. He has likely raised more money for causes than our candidates. And he's a knight... Nuff said.
