OBAMA NAKED !!

IT IS TIME FOR THE VOTING PUBLIC TO SEE OBAMA PRECISELY FOR WHAT HE IS (OR ISN'T) !

It is about time for Obama to hold a press conference and answer all the questions intelligent people in the U.S. and AROUND THE WORLD want to ask: who is he, what does he believe in, what his views are.

** Without a TELEPROMPTER!

** Without 20,000 screaming supporters, whipped into a frenzy by wonderful, however empty oratory.

** With ALL reporters who want to attend, not just those fueled by their hate for Bush and dislike for Clinton.

** With reporters who will not give up after they get "feel good sound bites."

** With reporters who will say the following: "THAT DOES NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION!" And "YOU ARE OBFUSCATING THE TOPIC!" And "YOU ARE CONDESCENDING TO US AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE." And "THAT IS DISHONEST!"

You all get the idea AND you all know that he has never, ever exposed himself to any meaningful and broad scrutiny.

Shame on many of us. Oprah figured that out after just a couple RAH-RAH events with Obama. And likely woke up to the "Wright" outrage before sooo many of you have. And/or have not, yet.

A "side-note" to Oprah: Would really like to hear from you on this. Barns has immense respect for you, for many reasons. A statement on Obama and Wright would be most welcome by all your devoted fans.

Yup. If you search "Barns" posts, you will find THAT noted. You are observant, yee wise one.

We need to review his lingo, pass it on to a linguist and then either ban him for being a simpleton or an attempt to fool us.

Frankly, one has to get up really early in the morning and eat a looooot of spinach to get that past us.

          Thanks, pilgrim.

Barns where are you going to find these reporters? No true reporter would say those things. Except maybe Lewis Black or Bill Maher. Also, what candidate in the history would agree to walk into that firestorm without any umbrella? Why trip yourself when your in the lead?

You must be joking! You can find all those reporters in any reporters pool. How about the White House press core? Obama will never let the press grill him. They would discover nothing under the surface.

I don't personally know of anyone that could survive the inquisition. While it's true, he needs to get specific, what politician doesn't? Politics has and always will be an exercise in empty promises and oversimplification of issues. At least Obama discusses the truth- that the world is a complex place and it will require fundamental changes in the way we operate together in order to change a thing.

Speaks the truth? I am blown away by that kind of naivite. I agree with Barns. It is not enough to just keep screaming about change. He has to tell us what changes are needed and how HE can effect those changes and how he proposes to pay for all those changes. Really good rhetoric. Thats all it is.

What is change to you Harm? Surely you can answer such a simple question. Is Obama capable of fulfilling his stump speech promises? No. It's categorically impossible, the same as it is for McCain, Hilary, and as it would be for you and I. Naivite though is to deny the fact that Obama has a unique ability to motivate this country to get off the couch and engage complicated issues.

Indeed. Obama is GOING TO GAZE INTO THE SKY (I keep thinking he is looking for his empty vision up there), talk (and talk and talk) and ...

well, that ought to sway Putin and the Chinese, and the North Koreans ...

And most certainly, the 1.4 Billion Muslims in the world who want you dead.

See the light. Not the quick lighting some of you see when you look UP, UP, UP at Obama.

For all who seem to already know that Obama has and will fail this country- then offer up a solution? I think any open mind is listening. Blind faith was buried with Kerry. And I'm a little unclear as to why motivating speeches are a bad thing?

Absolutely nothing wrong with rousing and motivating speeches.

                Those will turn out voters.

The fundamental issue is that millions of people in this country are so angry at Bush, they are allowing STYLE to sway them.

                Rather then SUBSTANCE.

That is the frightening part of all this.

One need only go back 69 years to identify one of the greatest orators of modern times. The world would - mankind would have been served had THE WORLD listened to the substance of his speeches.

The parallel, admittedly, is very poor. I simply want to know what Obama is about (if not a blind sheep behind Wright), what he proposes to do relative to all the major domestic and global issues that keep most thinking people awake nights.

That would be what is lacking. Entirely.

now we're on the same page. A tough, real discussion of issues is what this country needs. And everyone, including Obama needs to step up with specifics that create paths to solutions not just sound bites and philosophies. In turn, we all need to start taking some degree of personal responsibility for those solutions. No candidate will be able to deliver !$%@& without a motivated and more engaged electorate.

I would like to hear from Oprah. Perhaps she's doing her homework and is keeping a "low profile" until she has all the facts. Those facts coming from "reliable" sources and not just the media frenzy that we are subjected to. She's a smart cookie and commands a lot of respect and certainly has a voice. I'm sure she's doing the right thing for now.
