YOU LOANED $499,967.00 TO AN IRAQI HOUSEHOLD. THUS FAR...

AT LEAST WE HOPE IT IS A LOAN THAT YOU MIGHT GET BACK! KEEP DREAMING!

Not likely in this lifetime ...

Here is the math:

1. The war in Iraq has cost the U.S. $499,967.00 (right, that is a a half a million dollars) per Iraqi household.

2. Thus far, your household has spent $4,674.00 MAKING THAT LOAN.

Is it time to ask where those $$BILLIONS OF IRAQI PETRO DOLLARS ARE? And why are they not flowing into the U.S.?

We sure look like a badly managed bank, don't we?

And then there is the blood we are shedding as well.

What Say You?

You all need to petition your elected representatives to push for energy and environmental reforms. You should all push your presidential candidates on this issue. This war needs to be ended and soon. The present administration has botched up this war beyond belief but not beyond repair. It is up to us to bring pressure to bear on the new administration to serve the good of the country.

          Ouch, Pilgrim.

          Couple things ...

Just so you can rest easy this evening, Barns can (and does, too often) swear in 7 languages. And, with mixed pride, I assert that he does that better than most, not as well as very few.

In the gene pool, on father's side.

NOBODY EVER ACCUSED BARNS OF BEING P.C. NEVER. AND NOT LIKELY TO EVER HAPPEN EITHER.

The "strictness" of screening for "bad" words has to do with forcing our constituents to QUALITY posts rather than just EFFICIENT.

To be sure, some of the "bad" words we screen out ARE FANTASTICALLY DESCRIPTIVE. Such as, the Bush administration totally and inexorably _____d up this war.

          We cool?

The languages (fluent in 4, can swear in more than 4) .... Mother spent a ton of energy over the early years to make Barns into a gentleman.

As she rests in relative peace (I hope), for some years now, I am certain that she shakes her head, ever so subtly, and wags her index finger at me, reflecting on all that energy she might have wasted......

The swearing .... Father was masterful at that. Regrettably, there was no market in the art of swearing during his lifetime. For a truly brilliant and a unique gentleman, the man could keep up swearing strings endlessly. Too bad he was so ahead of his time. We could easily fashion a reality TV show around that talent today.

The American voters will decide if we fold or proceed in Iraq. Also they will decide if the US is laughable or a real power to be ever taken seriously. I can't see away to keep the us safe and end this conflict. Is there a way?

american voting means nothing our vote does not even matter; people look up the true meaning of the electorl college; it was because the govt felt it coudlnt trust its people to "understand" so if it still exists today, do we still NOT understand; could it be that all the hype and ranting we do is simply for NOTHING!So when you say American voters I think not; the chosen SECRET PEOPLE will decide.

We too have spent heavily on this international abomination. Whistle the US is carrying the heavy load, we have spent a lot of money and given some precious blood as well. We can never get back our investment. We now have to pray that our leaders can find a way out without too much more pain and suffering .

Are you putting a dollar value on freedom and security? If you are, this is the first time in U.S. history. Your math is interesting, though. What would have happened, if in a theoretical world, we would have offered each Iraqi family $25,000 over 5 years to give up killing each other.

You think Cheney's secret meetings with oil excutives in the first year wasn't a prelude to this? Get real Bush and Cheney are the real danger to this country. Al Quida a subtrafuge only. You are on point re last post. I was expressing exasperation with the fool preceding me on the topic. He has been banned from the site because according to Barns, he contributed nothing of value to the community. He appears to be a simpleton. Barns' words. I believe the the newly active 'cristopher' is the same fool under a different name. I was just reading a Barns' post: he banned 'cristopher' for that reason.

'christopher' is the same person as 'jwriter4' who has been banned from Ctoads for being a simpleton, given to catatonic and marginally coherent rants.

Just precedent to this writing, 'christopher' has been banned from Ctoads. He would have to get up really early in the morning AND eat a lot of spinach AND render Olive Oyl to a blabbering babe to get this past Barns....
