WHIPLASH !!!
Barns watched President Bush’s press conference this morning with as LITTLE BIAS AS POSSIBLE.
Love him (some do) or hate him (many do), he was informed, focused and undeterred in his views.
Right or wrong.
YES to both.
We are witnessing the singularly most dysfunctional EXECUTIVE AND LEGISTLATIVE FAMILY in the 20th and 21st Centuries. An intransigent PRESIDENT and a stupid and equally obstinate CONGRESSIONAL LEADERSHIP trying to navigate trouble international politics, geo-political oil wars, massively complex economic issues, the bloody reality of a global Islamo-Fascist war against everything/everyone who does not supplicate to Muslim fundamentalism, the development, management and proper distribution of the world’s resources and so on.
The one thing the President said of significant import was: “One thing the government can do is create more anxiety or less.”
The two most anxiety making issues for Americans are: their personal safety and hits to their pocket books.
Perhaps Mrs. Clinton can create less anxiety by telling the American public: 1. What she will do, as President, to guarantee the continued absence of attacks on Americans on our own soil. 2. How will she achieve all her campaign promises without raising our taxes (yours, mine, your neighbors, your fellow workers, your bus driver, owners of businesses – big and small..... ).
Perhaps Mr. Obama can create less anxiety by telling the American public, at least those who have not succumbed to rhapsodizing this entirely void of substance, personality only candidate, something specific about his possible tenure as President. Anything other than his vacuous “hope and change” catatonic mantra.
Perhaps Mr. McCain can create less anxiety by telling the American public what, if anything, he will do to improve their lives and their security. Anything other than he is different from Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Obama and President Bush. The all knowing, “I know more than you do” half smile is not sufficient.
Perhaps then we can again watch the economy roar again. Make no mistake: we have some major – read that as global – underlying economic issues. And that those issues remain unexplained to the American public. Hell, most of YOUR elected politicians do not comprehend even the headliner of those issues: global oil politics and economics! Sorry, you all. Barns knows more about that subject, no, a bunch more, then either of the elected Senators from his state of California! Frightening, don’t you think?
Also, make no mistake that the CONFIDENCE OF THE CONSUMING PUBLIC plays an equal role in moving it forward rather than into the funk it is vertiginously flying into.
The American public is "feeling no love" at the moment.
Your turn now.....

I'd love to know why your not electable, but we'll leave that for now,On a more serious note , I think you're asking a lot of these fine candidates, 1) you want the fact, They haven't made them up yet! 2)you want policies, see answer to 1 3)You want commitment, now you're just being silly.....

on 05/02 at 07:43PM PTHey, hey, hey. Perhaps in New Zealand, on a particularly good day.
THIS brand of NEVER P.C. just does not fly in the U.S.
At least, Barns does not think it would.
I am asking ordinary questions. And am not willing to accept obfuscating balderdash responses.
Whew ... That was tiring.
Can you just imagine a politician who REALLY CALLS IT THE WAY IT IS, DAMNED WHAT THAT DOES TO VOTES?

WOW Barns you should be out there campaigning for the presidency. Your thoughts are clear, organized and you certainly can get a message across. Or perhaps you should be leading the campaign for one our "sorry" candidates/nominees! I think I want to put my head in the sand since the message is loud and clear that America is in a really "sorry" state! Where are we to turn....

on 04/30 at 10:51AM PTThanks for the kind words.
Barns is about as electable as he can leap a tall building in a single bounce.
Can you imagine a candidate that DOES NOT DO "POLITICALLY CORRECT" ANYTHING?
Your new plasma screen TV would shrivel up and die.
