67 WORDS OF HATE FROM DESPICABLE NY TIMES.

On Israel’s 60th anniversary, the ONCE MIGHTY, NOW DESPICABLE NY TIMES, “reported” on Iran Muslim Sock-Puppet Ahmadinejad’s latest anti Israel and U.S. rant.

And used all of 67 words, without any comment whatsoever.

It is not about the Ayatollah Khamenei puppet's words. He is just that: an annoying gnat. It is about the NY Times and their fall from grace.

How far have the mighty fallen. Barns is thinking the heretofore unthinkable: NEVER READ THE NY TIMES AGAIN.

And here are the paltry 67 words...

Iran: A Hate Note on Israel’s Birthday
By NAZILA FATHI
Published: May 9, 2008
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Israel a “stinking corpse” that was doomed to fail, and warned countries that they would “burn in the fire of their people’s hatred” if they helped Israel, the news agency IRNA reported. “Today the reason for Zionist regime’s existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation,” he said in a speech on the 60th anniversary of the Jewish state.

If the NY Times story got you a tad on the miffed side, I wondering what Micheal Moore's latest effort (Sicko) will do for your blood pressure ?? The media the world over seem to be ratcheting up in the doom and gloom dept

I recently (while traveling in the U.S.) saw a news anchor get really teared up at the story of a pet stuck in a drainage pipe and the heroic efforts of the local fired department to save this pet.

      Now.

LET ME BE CLEAR: BARNS LOVES THE FAMILY PUPPY!

LET ME BE PERFECTLY CLEAR: YOU GO ANYWHERE THE FAMILY PUPPY AND YOU LOOK UNHAPPY, BARNS WILL LIKELY BITE YOU!

      However ...

The news anchor was professionally and dispassionately JUST READING A TelePrompTer when reporting on wide scale murder in the Sudan, civilians being blown up in Iraq, killer tornadoes in the Mid West and South, erupting volcanoes and .... Well, you get it.

Hey. You gotta sell detergents, cars and insurance.

Moore is just another intellectually dishonest poseur.

I've now given his(Moore's) movie a fair viewing And I've checked his facts(most are reasonably accurate and horrifying)I would call him dishonest ,intellectually Inept maybe.I asked him (via e-mail) why trash your own country? the answer from one of his toadies was "We are trying to show Americans that we're not as well off as we think we are"...

That is disappoinitng, is it not? A vanilla answer like that? From a guy who is making enormous money telling the rest of us that we live in the wrong country?

The guy who goes abroad and is head cheer leader for the U.S. haters?

Hi own words tend to discredit him among any reasonably thinking human being. I guess the problem is a widespread lack of reason. One question would be: do we want newspapers to tell us why something is bad or can the huddled masses figure it out themselves?

You are right. The masses should figure all this out for themselves. My problem with that is that the masses are conditioned to stand in line and take a number. The NY Times is thought by those masses to be the leading purveyor of thinking in the U.S. I found that article to be screaming with their silence on commentary.

I think the better question is about Iran. If it gets close to a nuclear bomb and has the ability to launch it at Israel, Iran may disappear off the face of the earth. They should take a lesson from Israel's recent raid into Syria to destroy a nuclear facility there. It took months for anybody to say anything about that. How about that as a loud message.

Newspapers across this country are dying a slow death. As a graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism I analyzed the plight of the American newspaper. From the reliance on the AP wire for regurgitated stories, the lack of true investigative journalism and the conglomeration of the newspapers themselves limiting perspectives to often one major paper with no independent voices. The once proud paper of record has changed, for the worst.

Why do you care what Ahmadinejad says. He is a hate monger. He is also not relevant. The NY Times has become just a paper. There are many other papers in the U.S. that have the quality the NY TImes used to have. The NY Times is as politicized in their reporting as they are in their op ed section. I am expecting that they will have paying sponsors for their opinions.

I am surprised that you find the New York Times so objectionable, at least at this point in time. They have changed fundamentally a long time ago. What was once one of the proud flagships in newspapers worldwide, is now just another rag with a really good American label. If it is a liberal cause, they will trumpet it loudly.

Right. Do you know who the Times reporter is who wrote this? I did some reading. I think the editors must have killed the commentary that was likely part of the original story.
