If that is possible, Condoleezza Rice’s speech yesterday was even more pathetic! All that foolish saber rattling. And the even more moronic “human aid” flights by the U.S. Air Force into Georgia.

cac is right. I encourage you all to read the foreign press on Putin and the new Russia. Russia may not be as strong as their recent aggression suggests. The Europeans don't think so. That did not stop them from telling Poland that they are now in Russia's nuclear sites, since they allowed U.S. anti-nuclear installation on their soil.

As to the Europeans, talk is cheap! They quake in their loafers just thinking about the imperialist Mother Russia. And KNOW that the U.S. will defend them. To be sure, but for the U.S., German would be the national language of France. And Russian for the rest of W. Europe.
This time, they are wrong. All of the Caucasus and the former Iron Curtain satellites would go down to the Russians, were that to be the case. Watch NATO beg for U.S. troops, everywhere.

It seems Mr Putin may have found the back door to the US Your Good Buddy Hugo Chavez is planing to Buddy up to Putin for Naval exercises in the Caribbean ,That can't be good! Actually, there are 2 Russian strategic bombers that have now been stationed in Venezuela. Just today, Chavez used that to threaten us "YANKEES" while throwing out our ambassador there.
The boy fancies himself the new Castro.
Perhaps he should be concerned with his welfare.
As to his oil, he has no choice but sell to us. We have nearly 100% of his production delivered to us, either to consume it or to refine for him!
