WOMEN: Oprah Winfrey, one of the most prolific and successful PEOPLE in the U.S., liked and appreciated by everybody, creates the OBAMA RHAPSODY!
Packages and turbo boosts the candidacy of the singularly least qualified and most shallow presidential candidate in history.
Michelle Obama, a fundamentally angry person, clearly unhappy to be second to Barrack on the star meter. Her last scripted speech including, and all her speeches warrant reading BEFORE entering a voting booth, are astounding. She HAS tremendous pedigree, earned to be sure. But ... To assert that they are just another couple, like the rest of us, trying to get by financially, is her most arrogant "arugula" statement yet. The woman had the unmitigated gall to offer that after 20 plus years, they were finally able to pay off their student loans. Cannot imagine how difficult that had to be on their income of $3 million last year.
Can you imagine you and your family of 4 getting by on only $3 million last year AND paying off your 20 year old student loans at the same time?
Impressive. And unacceptably pandering.
Obama? The anointed one descending into the COLISEUM this evening, to receive the accolades of the smitten and uninformed?
What a difference a few years make. 8 years ago, he lost a Congressional primary. He was not able to get a pass to the convention in L.A. He was not able to rent a car in L.A. His credit card bounced. He listened to the convention speeches in a car park.
Give the man all the credit that he is due. In a nation moving vertiginously toward conservatism, THE MOST LIBERAL SENATOR in the land is the Democratic Presidential Wannabe. Ouch. Hard to tell, really, given the few votes he cast and the many votes he abstained from casting.
And he appears to have done that with just a great speech writer and wonderfully crafted charisma.
Looking forward to 2 accomplished speakers in the White House: one really, really superb at delivering rhetoric and the other delivering endless and incoherent drivel.
Likely they can talk our enemies into happy resignation.
And then there is McCain....
Will the real McCain please stand up? He is either too "Bush" or too left or too confused or way too reactive! Maverick what?
Have mercy on our wayward souls. THAT would be our next President if not Obama?
But for all this being so damned tragic, it would be amusing. A nation of 330 million (including our loyal contingent of illegals) has produced McCain and Obama as our finest choices. Amazing. Might as well write in Barns. If for no other reason, for its entertainment value.
