"Tea Baggers" - Unfortunate Name Choice.

Are "Tea Baggers" going to fracture the Republican Party? Will this cause a defection of mildly "Angry White Guys who don't want to pay taxes" to the Libertarian Party (very "Angry White Guys who don't want to pay taxes)? Is this putting the GOP deeper into the bad loser, spoiler category bordering on WWE histrionics? Hedging their bets that Obama will fail miserably resulting in the complete breakdown of the economy didn't help either. Lastly, this is a minor point, but one worth exploring - the fact that they unknowingly did choose a name that is common in the ubiquitous dirty slang lexicon of the day show that they are an out of touch minority?

  Can you expect anything less from a group that have relagated the concept of patriotism to some cheap piece of jewelry worn on the lapel? Or the party whose leaders consist of leaders with a mindset more attune to the age of the Spanish Inquisition. Where anyone questioning the leadership was deemed heretics and where diseases were treated with leaches. How some never change. Thank God the rest of us have.

      Hopefully everyone's opinion of America isn't based on bumper stickers! I think the Inquisition comment was historically accurate for Republicans. Reagan was throwing lefty pinko Hollywood types under the bus left and right in the 1950's.

  I for one would like a list of Republican "leaders" that a big electorate can get behind. As I see it, the Republican party will lose the next elections unless Obama becomes a really big failure. Agree on the semantics. Alternate suggestions?
