THE MORE THINGS CHANGE THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME! Or .....

Taking brief inventory this morning.......
▶ Swine flu NOT gone but NOT HEADLINE anymore ... only 100,000 Americans infected thus far.
▶ Global warming or is it “climate change?” Forgetting ... not in the news....
▶ Nancy Pelosi still the consummate political animal ... and still dangerously stupid.
▶ Ahmadinejad still testing missiles to attack Israel and U.S. targets ... and still needs to be neutralized by IRANIANS before Israel turns all of Iran into blood-soaked rubble.
▶ Bush legacy still ringing loudly in everybody’s wallets ... and banks happily spend OUR $$ Billions. Ouch: trillions??
▶ Biden still stupidest politician in the U.S., although that race with Pelosi is tightening ... and Obama administration not successful in muzzling his runaway mouth.
▶ Republican Party still cocktail party joke ... anybody out there want a job as “Republican Leader”?
▶ Pakistan still the most dangerous place on earth ... how about an accurate inventory of their nukes --- wherever those are! Ahhh. Give it a few weeks and we can ask those blood-thirsty 14th century Taliban clerics to take a break from stoning wayward women to death and give us a count of how many nukes they have.
▶ Obama still makes Dale Carnegie look like a weekend amateur hack ... The man can sell ice to the Eskimo in the dead of winter. Good thing in these times ... but for those pesky $$ Trillions being sucked up somewhere.
▶ Unemployment still going up and up while Americans’ savings are also going up and up. No worries: sooner or later somebody will buy a TV set or a refrigerator or a highly discounted house. And a Japanese car.
▶ Middle East still an un-ending play. Seems like the 135th act in a 1,000-act tragedy. But we all do some really fine jawing on that. Praying for some (unlikely) Obama magic.
▶ Michael Vick will play in the NFL again ... the damned league is going to the dogs, I tell you.
▶ Pretty women, disgraced stars, nefarious people of all kinds, and all manner of non-entities still get more news play than medical break-thrus and the 3 dozen wars around the world.
▶ Arghhh. Enough for now ... you get it!
So, you see, nothing much has changed in recent times....

You forgot to mention the woman who had twins, but really aren't twins and her fiance has readily accepted the fatherly responsibility of her lover's offspring. I say he's stepped up to the plate. That man deserves some recognition. In my book he's a real "mench".

If you READ anything about the exchange between Obama and Netahyahu earlier, I fear it to be a 1001 act play.
If you heard or read Obama's speech this morning re. GITMO, I fear that to be a 2001 act play.
