JACKSON BREAKS OUR $$ AND MORAL PIGGY-BANK!
GET REAL, ALL YOU OVERWROUGHT AND WEEPY FANS!
TAKE [PROGRAMMING] NOTE:
At STAPLES CENTER TODAY: The Michael Jackson Circus.
At STAPLES CENTER TOMORROW: The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
The City Of L.A. is broke.
The State Of California is broke.
Michael Jackson is still very wealthy despite silly rumors of his bankruptcy. He is very, very wealthy. He just did not pay his bills willingly.
The BROKE CITY OF L.A. will spend $4 Million to mind the Michael Jackson circus today.
How big a circus – for those of you living under a rock today? One of the major T.V. networks was desperately trying to cover/broadcast THE SOUND CHECK from an empty STAPLES CENTER.
WOW.
By the way ....

People are so quick to demonize MJ for acts that no one until today can prove happen and even the child who family made the claim said that it was his father’s idea. Now look at all the good he has done when he was alive

He brought national attention to the crisis going on in other third world countries. Its sad to see that some people look for the bad in some one instead of all the good they have done for humanity

I connot believe the amount of air time devoted to this! The man was a PEDOPHILE,scum of the earth!Sure he could sing a tune,So what? I didn't like him when he was alive,And i sure as hell have no feelings of FORGIVENESS now he's gone. And for the city of LA to foot the bill for his memorial,That is ludicrous.

This city makes it's bread and butter from entertainment. Production is already moving to AZ, NC, SC, Toronto, etc. because of the city not being very cooperative or it being cost effective. This has never been issue before. We are seeing a knee jerk short sighted reaction that is not relevant to our current situation. When the economy is bad, maybe we should start creating incentives for the industry we have left to stay.

I can only hope that Michael Jackson's passing is just a temporary deterrent from all the world conflicts that are going on today. The media thrives on headlines. MJ's passing offers another opportunity to ignore how much conflict is going on in the world. That said, MJ's family should have stepped up to the plate and paid for the memorial service. Or, Magic, Kobe, Barry Gordy, etc.

Why the hell did the City of LA permit the Jackson circus without getting the costs covered by the estate, the family or all those 1.3 million who had to attend the service? Why are the 11,000 people at Staples not paying the city $360 each to reimburse the costs? We do some really stupid things.

I think that when some organization wants to stage an event in any city, they need to get a permit and have to cover the costs. This is an event in a private venue (STAPLES) but it has huge consequences outside the venue. I heard that 3,000 LAPD officers are on duty for this event only. LA. has only 10,000 officers altogether to police 8 million people and huge geography.

With at least two wars being fought, with two more countries poised for nuclear conflict, with Pakistan out of control still, with the Middle East in shambles, with a President whose great promise is fading by the moment, our national obsession is with a performer who is the worst role-model for our youth. I am sad for all us parents.

You Yanks are not alone in this bru-ha-ha. You would not believe the crying and hand wringing here about Jackson. We sure loved him on this side. I reckon being a pedophiliac is a never mind her too.

Come on lady. What about being found not guilty by a jury. OK. Maybe he had the O.J. Simpson momentum going for him. He also had a really good dermatologist who made all his important parts Caucasian.

I was going to write my own original post but you guys are off to a good start with this. The guy turned great talent into a circus act. Many wonder how he lasted this long. Does anybody know if the children really look like his dermatologist?

Stop it all you haters. Drama and demons seem to be inherent with music legends. Elvis, Jim, Cash, Jimi... Could be what they draw on to generate such phenomenal talent. It doesn't bother me that my dollars are contributing to the celebration of his life because he has been there for many poignant moments in mine! To honor the global impact of his music you need more than a circus at the Staples Center.

Excellent post my friend. Most people on this post here just do not seem to understand that the world doesn't revolve around just themselves..
